Afraid of Rainbows

Cool blues and greens fill the canvas until a sharp passage of yellow interrupts their atmosphere. The title introduces an unexpected unease into colors usually associated with wonder. Ceballos lets that tension remain unresolved: forms seem to gather within the paint, then slip back into abstraction. The picture offers no single scene to decode. Instead, it makes the act of looking itself uncertain, asking how a burst of brightness can feel like reassurance and disruption at once.
