Pale, branching forms rise through green and gray fields in these two related watercolors. Their surfaces seem to alternate between vegetation, folded fabric and something less easily named. One image offers more breathing room; the other gathers into a thicker network of overlapping shapes. Jacknowitz makes those differences matter through the pairing. Looking from one work to the other becomes a way to follow a shared visual language as it changes density, direction and atmosphere.
