111 Minna Gallery and Emily Fromm are excited to present their third art exhibition together, There You Go, Wherever You Are, which will showcase 50 original paintings made prior to and during the pandemic. Due to several cancelled or truncated art shows in 2020, Fromm has been storing collections of paintings of New York and London for nearly two years, and will be exhibiting them all together for the first time along with several still life paintings of her home during quarantine, a colorful collection of ink drawings made on the road, and ten new never-before-seen acrylic paintings of San Francisco streetscapes. We invite you to join us for the opening night celebration Thursday, January 13th, 2022 from 5 PM until late, the official gallery opening day January 14th 10 AM – 6 PM, or by appointment through February 17th.

Emily Fromm is a visual artist living and working in San Francisco, California. Her style draws inspiration from traditional sign painting techniques, cartoons and comic books to create a nostalgic yet contemporary lens with which to view iconic city locales. The scenes in her paintings highlight treasured city businesses along with public institutions and people in the community who inhabit and shape our urban neighborhoods. So far her paintings have featured locations in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Montréal and London.
Originally born in Los Angeles in 1991, Fromm moved to San Francisco in 2009 to study painting, drawing and ceramics at San Francisco State University. She earned a BFA in Studio Art in 2013 and has since exhibited her artwork both locally and internationally. She has also painted several murals in the Bay Area, and recently completed her first permanent public mosaic installation for SFO Airport in partnership with The San Francisco Arts Commission. She currently lives and works as a full time artist in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset neighborhood.
