Amber light glows within curved supports and layered circular forms, beneath a tall crown of branches. Made from reclaimed materials, Timeless Flare carries Randy Gaul’s concern about technology and its consequences, particularly the persistent danger of fire and its effects on nature where he lives. The glowing interior and dark outer silhouette give that concern a physical atmosphere. Branching forms rise above the light, bringing the beauty of illumination into contact with the vulnerability of the surrounding natural world.
