A slender, bird-like creature faces a much larger human profile beneath a concentrated overhead light. Randy Gaul uses this encounter to explore the presence that brings us dreams, guiding and directing us as we sleep and influencing our daily activities. The dark surroundings keep attention on the relationship between the two figures. Their different scales and close proximity make an invisible process feel intimate, inviting viewers to consider the dream world as an active participant in waking life.
