Screen Time

A figure crosses a striped street while a bright flame burns in the space behind her. Cool layers of blue, green and violet soften the surrounding world, making the fire’s orange intensity especially difficult to ignore. Ceballos holds everyday movement and extraordinary disturbance within the same scene. The title brings attention itself into question: what do we notice, what becomes background, and how can something urgent occupy the same moment as an ordinary walk?
