Two faces turn upward through a field that shifts from deep blue to hot orange. Their opposing temperatures give the painting its first force, but the figures remain connected by overlapping contours and shared space. The title suggests separation, while the image repeatedly draws the two presences together. Ceballos uses that unresolved relationship to make contrast feel emotional as well as visual: a meeting of states that can neither fully merge nor comfortably remain apart.
