A pale disk hangs above a network of blue, teal, red and ochre forms. The shapes bend and overlap with the familiarity of branches or landforms, yet resist settling into a recognizable place. Bell makes the spaces between them as active as the forms themselves. The painting’s clarity comes from that balance: a compact world of firm edges and fluid associations, where the eye can follow one passage and discover another opening nearby.
