StartOut Storytellers Night: Against the Current
October 28 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Free
Join LGBTQ+ founders and allies for happy hour and personal stories about choosing a path of your own.
StartOut Storytellers Night returns for its second annual evening of personal stories from LGBTQ+ founders, leaders, change makers, and allies.
This year’s theme, Against the Current, explores the moments when we choose an unconventional path, challenge expectations, and keep moving forward when it would be easier to follow the crowd.
The program will feature a curated group of preselected storytellers, along with an interactive audience session that gives guests a chance to reflect and share.
We are also opening one community storyteller spot for someone interested in joining the featured lineup and sharing a 10 to 15 minute personal story.
Interested in telling your story?
Please email sanfranciscolc@startout.org by OCTOBER 14th with:
- A brief introduction and background
- A short description of the story you would like to tell
- How your story connects to the theme, Against the Current
- A link to your LinkedIn profile
- Confirmation that you can attend the event in person
No previous storytelling or public speaking experience is required. The selected storyteller will receive coaching and support from our team while preparing their story. We are looking for an authentic personal story, not a business pitch or company presentation.
