Join Nexus: SF/Bay Area Black Art Week for Creators, Culture, and AI: Who Benefits?, an Art + AI panel and networking lunch bringing together artists, technologists, educators, and industry leaders for a timely conversation about the intersection of creativity, culture, and artificial intelligence.
The discussion will explore how AI is influencing creative work, what new opportunities and challenges it presents for artists and cultural practitioners, and how questions of access, authorship, representation, and cultural ownership are shaping the conversation around emerging technologies.
The panel features a multidisciplinary group of voices working across art, technology, education, and industry.

Following the panel, attendees are invited to connect over a networking lunch and experience work by Kamal X, presented as part of his Killer Jazz: Black & Dangerous pop-up at 111 Minna.
Kamal X is an award-winning, Brooklyn-based documentary photographer and author dedicated to exposing the hidden truths of the human experience. Featured in The New York Times and Apple’s national “Hometown” campaign, his visceral coverage of the 2020 uprisings earned top honors in LensCulture’s Black & White Photography Awards. He is the author of two celebrated photography books: A Quest Supreme (2021), documenting a 40-country global odyssey, and BLACK ASTRONAUT (2023), a visual archive of a nationwide revolution. Today, Kamal continues his commitment to unearthing overlooked narratives, turning his lens toward the vibrant global subcultures and rhythmic intersections of music, fashion, and art.
