SUMMARY:Echoes of Home | Exhibition Opening at Presidio Theatre
DESCRIPTION:FREE public event | RSVP required \nEchoes of Home brings together the work of Kuntal and Lucas Antony\, whose practices explore how home is carried across borders through memory\, color\, and lived experience. \nKuntal’s vivid\, dreamlike paintings draw from Rajasthan’s culture and Hindu mythology\, translating music and emotion into visual form. Lucas Antony\, a Brazilian multidisciplinary artist shaped by a global\, nomadic life\, uses a recurring palette of blue and orange to explore identity\, belonging\, and place through travel\, architecture\, and the body. \nPresented in partnership with 111 Minna Gallery and the Presidio Theatre\, Echoes of Home transforms the gallery into a shared public space—where visual art and performance intersect to create connection and belonging. \nSpecial Performance by Will Marsh \nExperience a live performance by globally acclaimed sitarist and guitarist Will Marsh. Blending Hindustani classical traditions with jazz\, world music\, and original compositions\, Marsh brings a rich\, transportive sound shaped by over two decades of international study and performance. His innovative yet deeply rooted style offers a vibrant musical complement to Echoes of Home. \nOpening Reception: March 11\, 6–8 PM \nFree and open to the public with rsvp. Featuring an artist-to-artist conversation led by Rhonel Roberts\, light bites\, and a special performance.

SUMMARY:Refractions of Place & Presence
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a vibrant exhibition celebrating the intersection of performance\, memory\, and global perspective through the work of two multidisciplinary artists: Yingri Guan and Cristina Miraflor Ibarra. \nPresented by: Presidio Theatre x 111 Minna Gallery\nOpening Reception + Artist Talk\nWednesday\, September 3\n6:00 PM – 8:00 PM\nThe Presidio Theater\, 99 Moraga Ave – The Presidio \nThis event is free to attend with RSVP. \nRSVP HERE \nYingri Guan weaves technology\, design\, and generative form into stunning visual experiences. With roots in China\, Singapore\, and the Pacific Northwest\, her work explores patterns—both natural and human-made—that connect cultures across borders. Through digital fabrication and an inquisitive lens\, Yingri invites viewers to see the invisible threads that shape our world. \nCristina Miraflor Ibarra captures the immediacy of lived experience with fluid watercolors rendered in real-time. Her art thrives on movement and observation\, often painted live during performances with just ink\, water\, and a portable kit. Grounded in Filipino heritage and Bay Area rhythms\, her pieces echo with song\, memory\, and the joy of the everyday sublime. \nTogether\, Guan and Ibarra offer distinct yet harmonious approaches to how art can reflect\, respond to\, and reframe the world around us. \nCelebrate with us at a free\, in-person reception featuring drinks\, conversation\, and an Artist 2 Artist Talk — a special dialogue between Cristina & Yingri\, moderated by returning artist Rhonel Roberts\, whose own work opened this series. This is a chance to hear the artists discuss their process\, their paths\, and the shared landscapes that inspire them. \nThis event is free to attend with RSVP. \nRSVP HERE \nFollowing the opening\, the exhibition will remain on display through the summer during Presidio Theatre show nights\, accessible with ticketed entry.
